Ketchup - The Holiday Edition

When last I wrote, we had just watched "Hogfather" on Christmas Eve.

That night I took photos (which will eventually make their way onto my website), left cookies and milk out for Santa, and got to bed before midnight!

The next morning saw us opening our presents to the warm glow of a DVD fireplace + Christmas songs ::grin:: Lotsa games, DVDs, CDs, books, the usual things we like. I got a couple cute Beanie Baby mices, a 100-sided die (!!!), a limited edition serial experiments lain doll, etc.

We opened our Christmas crachers, put on our funny hats, and played Carcassonne and some other games. We watched two episodes of "Azumanga Daioh" while we ate Christmas dinner. No wait. That's what we watched Wednesday afternoon. What did we watch Monday afternoon? Oh yeah: a couple old TV shows' Christmas programs (from the 50's).

After that came some serious napping. I was going to bed for the night when Cat'r was getting up from his nap. He read me "A Child's Christmas in Wales" as a bedtime story then. :-)

Tuesday we played games, and we also watched "Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest" (which I had gotten as a present)! Arrrrr!

So of course on Wednesday we all played The Game of Life: Pirates of the Caribbean-Dead Man's Chest version (also a present). Heh. :-P

Cat'r went home late Wednesday afternoon. He's planning on getting back up here tomorrow late afternoon. Yay! More Cat'r! :-D

I played a LOT of Tamagotchi Connection Corner Shop 2 (for the Nintendo DS) on...Tuesday? Wednesday? Which was a present also. :-)

So today I played a LOT of Tamagotchi Connection Corner Shop (the first one), to see what would happen if I completed getting royal status for ALL my shops. Since someone who is reading this might be playing it, I won't give it away, although it looks like the reward for that achievement might be better in TCCS2 than in the first game.

So we had/are having a nice holiday season. 'Tain't over yet! :-)

Didn't you leave cheese out for Santa Mouse? I told the girls that one of my LJ friends did that, and they insisted on doing it too! (Younger Daughter, whose nickname is "Mouse," got a stuffed Santa Mouse the day before Christmas. She managed to lose him in her room, but when she woke up Christmas morning, he was on her bed. I didn't do it, so all I can think is that Santa Mouse scurried upstairs and found the stuffed version of himself while Santa Claus was unloading the sleigh!)

Glad you're having a nice holiday!

I have to confess that I didn't leave cheese for Santa Mouse this year. It was almost midnight, I was tired, so I only got out the milk and cookies, then got to bed. I should've left carrots for the reindeer too, but I didn't do that this year either.

That is so cool about the finding of the stuffed Santa Mouse! It must've been Santa Mouse that did it. :-) Or a fairy. Or an angel. :-)
