Winter Storm Watch!

I knew I was right to work frantically on finishing that fuzzy/furry white scarf (done in Red Heart Kiss). I might knit a row or two more, but it's the length I want now (40 inches--just right for under a coat as a muffler). I also need to finish loom-knitting the matching LB Homespun hat. That will take maybe an hour or so to finish.

So they are saying we might get 3-5 inches of snow!! Yippee! I need a little more winter before we get into the spring and summer months!

The watch is for Monday evening through Tuesday evening.

Brrrr!!! It's cold here and I personally don't want any more winter! Supposed to be the start of spring tomorrow. *shivers*

I haven't kept up much on what's been going on in Europe weather-wise; but I think you-all have had a much colder winter than we have. So I don't blame you for wanting Spring to get here NOW! :-)

Wow, that IS exciting! I remember those later March storms from time to time. Down here next weekend we are expecting nighttime lows in the 40s again! Amazing! But yes, it's nice to have a bit more winter before the "big bake!"

Heh, I cast off and finished the furry white scarf (RH Kiss) earlier tonight. Tomorrow (Monday) I plan on finishing the white Knifty Knitter hat (Heppelwhite LB Homespun with the white/cream RH Kiss in the brim) to go with it.

Hope I can get a ride to SnB tomorrow (Monday) night! I want to show off my winter things before it's too late. :-P

Bunnicula has to walk over to the shopping center tomorrow to return a couple things plus get a couple other things. It's gonna be a madhouse, I bet! Everyone goes berserk in Cincy when it's going to snow! :-P Let's see, do we have the essentials: Spam, baked beans, bread, milk, bottled water? I was just remembering a Jim Borgman cartoon about Cincinnatians and snow and hoarding food. :-P

As to the storm: it's going to depend on how it tracks as to how much snow we get and how much possible sleet and ice we get. We shall see. Ack! My little weather thingee just popped up saying Tuesday night it's going down to 19oF.!

I need sleep!

How much snow did you get? I'm too tired to check it out myself right now. A revision on my last comment, we are now expecting temps in the UPPER 30s this weekend--WILD! I don't remember it ever getting that cold this late in the year in the almost 22 years I've lived in Florida.

Speaking of Knifty Knitter hats, today I made a "worry hat" out of RH Orchid and Bernat So Soft medium light blue held together. I call it a worry hat because I needed something to keep my hands busy while I worried about the doggies today. I finished it just as the vet arrived!

We got maybe one or two inches? It was impressive looking, coming down at 7am! But I went back to bed. When I got up around 10am, it was melting on all paved surfaces, and just looked decorative on trees and roofs and such. :-)

It was 17oF. this (Wednesday) morning!! It'll moderate over the next few days, I think.

Poor doggies! I am glad they are doing better! RH Orchid? RH Super Saver in an orchid colour? ::confused:: Wooo, orchid and light blue together sounds NICE! :-)
