Crochet stuff + loom knitting stuff

I finished Bunnicula's crocheted watch cap (made with Caron Simply Soft in Light Country Blue) today. It fits perfectly--yay! I was worried the pattern was off, but it wasn't. I also gave him one of the loom knitted hats I had made (Flag Blue and Fisherman (cream) Lion Brand Chunky USA)--it's gonna get REALLY cold again this weekend.

My Herrschners order arrived today, so I got the 4 skeins of TLC Amore, Amazon colour, that I'd been waiting for. I started my "Night Falls on the Amazon" car laprobe! I am going to put an edging of blue-black around it when I finish it--because I have TLC Amore Black and Red Heart Plush Navy leftovers on hand LOL! The laprobe is just two strands held together, double crochet with an L hook (Boye Balene II hook--I love it!).

I am also working on a Homespun Ranch (brown) (with a small horizontal Deco (cream) stripe) hat on the yellow (largest) Knifty Knitter loom. That one goes to charity.

I'm going to loom knit a totally one-colour iron-grey/black one (Homespun Edwardian) for Cat'r, then crochet him a two-colour scarf of Edwardian and Corinthian (earth tones with lots of red in it)--just 6" of one colour, then 6" of the other, then continue to alternate for however long I want to make it. It's in double crochet. Pattern is over on the Lion Brand site, but it's super easy.

Lucky you!! I'm still waiting for my Herrschner's order which was SUPPOSED to have been here yesterday, but I see from checking our local USPS that it will be today--I HOPE! That order will have my Crystalite knitting needles and two skeins of Bernat Boa for fun. I'm looking forward to the 10" needles--all my others are 14" and to me they just get in the way (they hit on the arms of the chair I most like to knit/crochet in, etc).

Oh! It's Bette Davis, crocheting!

It looks like those patterns for the Bernat Boa yarn are for knitting. I am planning on sending you a couple crochet magazines (extras I ended up with), so I will enclose the extra pattern sheet I got also.

Debbie Stoller ("Stitch 'N Bitch") talks about tucking the longer needles, um, under her arms/in the armpit! LOL! I can see doing that with the right-hand needle, but not both of them.
